Fashion Industry Calendar Q1 2026

Strategic Season Review

Contents of the article

The first quarter of 2026 marks one of the most intense periods in the global fashion calendar, defining commercial and aesthetic directions for the Autumn-Winter 2026/2027 season. The coming months are not only a showcase for runway collections, but above all a crucial time for buyers, creative directors and sourcing specialists.

Men's elegance and material innovations (January) The season traditionally opens in Florence with the Pitti Immagine Uomo trade fair. It is the most important barometer of sentiment in the menswear and contemporary clothing sector, setting the tone for the subsequent men's fashion weeks in Milan and Paris. January is also a key moment for the luxury craft sector – Paris Haute Couture Week remains a platform for the highest form of tailoring, setting trends that will soon permeate ready-to-wear (RTW) fashion. At the same time, events such as The London Textile Fair and Scandinavia's Copenhagen Fashion Week (a leader in sustainability) highlight the growing role of environmental responsibility and innovation in the supply chain.

Sourcing and textiles (February) The beginning of February is a strategic moment for the supply chain. The Première Vision Paris trade fair brings together key fabric and yarn manufacturers, laying the foundation for production processes for the coming seasons. This is where decisions are made about raw materials that will define the market for the next 12-18 months.

Women's Fashion Month: The Big Four (February-March) The cycle concludes with a marathon of the "Big Four," beginning in New York and then moving to London and Milan to conclude the season in Paris. This is a crucial period for wholesale, where brands compete for the budgets of department stores and e-commerce platforms. In 2026, special attention is paid to an extended schedule in Milan and a strong presence of collateral events (Fashion Days), reflecting the growing market consolidation and the need to maximize media exposure in a short time window.
